NOCTI Exam
The state-mandated National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Exam is an additional way for a student to demonstrate mastery of his/her knowledge in the “major” program of study. Every student is required to take the NOCTI exam during the spring of his/her senior year of school. It is administered in two parts: 1 written Exam and 1 performance Exam, both of which are extensive and rigorous. Students are expected to score in the “proficient” or “advance” range of the NOCTI Exam.
Also, 11th grade students take a “pre-NOCTI” assessment during the spring. This is a valuable opportunity for our students to practice taking the NOCTI, identifying areas for growth and then working to build on those skills.
