The vocational shops offer the necesssary skills and training needed to enter the 21st century work force after graduation.
Academies
Masbtuam is broken down in academies which cover core curriculum areas such as Social Studies, Math, Science, and English as well as into "shops" where students can gain hands-on experience in a trade of their choice.
Academics - Core Content Area Subjects
Social Studies consists of World American History, African American History & Social Science, allowing students to study history from many diverse viewpoints.
Mathematics offers a variety & engaging list of courses, consisting of Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus &Statistics, including Honors Math.
English focuses on student achievement. Students explore their different modalities of multiply intelligences in the realm of integrated, students centered activities.
Science provides four years of both natural and applied science classes including life, physical and Earth Investigations.

Career & Technical Education Certifications
While Mastbaum students strive for academic excellence, they also are able to excel and earn certifications in their Major Program of Study. The following list identifies certifications by major that your child has the potential to earn PRIOR to graduation from high school. This certification can then be used in obtaining a career in the Major Program of Study.
